Case study: The Art of Women’s Business Brand Development

The Brand Story

Marguerite Davie and Veronica Strachan are the Founders of The Art of Women’s Business (AWB): a collaboration that offers workshops, strategy sessions and networking opportunities to women in business, who have great ideas and need help to get stuff done. AWB is built on fun, action and alchemy; and uses techniques to get people moving by shifting mindsets, exploring values and looking at motivations.

The idea had been bubbling away for some time, and playing out in Marguerite and Veronica’s own businesses (True Compass and True Dialogue) as grants and consulting focus and change management focus. Marguerite and Veronica needed an outlet for both to come together, attended a ‘The Art of Feminine Presence’ workshop, as they are licensed teachers in this technique, and bought AWB together in one day!

Earth & Sea Creative were commissioned to design the brand identity and stationery for The Art of Women’s Business and Time To Put Your Big Girls Pants On (a program within the business). The second phase of the project entailed a pull up banner to use at workshops and conferences.

The Brief

The brief called for the use of soft and strong orange tones, with a specific typeface and brandmark imagery. The brand identity needs to be feminine without the frills, i.e. no pink!

The Praise

“Just try and stop us from singing your praises!” Marguerite Davie
