Got an idea? Be bold. Until you try, you will never know the liberating feeling of success.

Got an idea? Be bold. Until you try, you will never know the liberating feeling of success.

Nothing is too small to know

Are you in business? This quote is a great reminder to keep the faith!

Have you ever noticed how cyclic and changeable trends are? Do you choose to be influenced by trends, yet keep your focus on what you know best… working hard to offer people the best customer service, ideas and advice.

Here’s six important lessons I’ve learned about life as a small business owner:

Lessons will come in a challenging disguise: Life was not meant to be easy. If anyone tells you otherwise, they are bluffing. When you’re a small business owner you will encounter transformational moments, regularly.

Remember your point of difference: Do not look at what your competition is doing. Be yourself and stay focussed on your own goals.

Stay true to your brand values and be authentic: In the digital age it’s essential to relate with your clients from a human-centred perspective. Leave spin out of the equation, it’s passé.

Have faith: The storm of challenges will pass, you can undertake most challenges presented to you and you will grow from the EPIC moments that take you to through the dip.

Be strong: Being a creative soloist is a cut throat industry and requires amazing resilience. This links intrinsically to point 2.

Never give up: Right before success you will face the worst.

So tell me… what’s your one lesson?
